The division of Creative Services in Rice University’s Public Affairs Office has two full time professional photographers on staff. While the photographers handle the general needs of the university on a daily basis (Rice News, Rice Magazine, etc.), they are available to schools and departments for photo assignments. Those services are provided at the hourly rates shown here.
When you send a request, you will be contacted to discuss the assignment and to schedule an appointment. Projects will be accepted based on the event, availability and approval of estimated costs. If the event cannot be handled by the Rice photographers, they can assist with student or freelance photographer recommendations.
Photography Services
Images taken are downloaded and delivered to the client via Box, CD or provided thumb drive(s).
Rates
- On Location
$100/hour; 1 hour minimum - After Hours Rate
(Weekdays after 5:00 p.m.)
$150/hour; 2 hours minimum - Weekend Assignments
$200/hour; 2 hours minimum - Digital Production Services
(Editing)
$50/hour; 1 hour Minimum - Average Fulfillment Time
One Week
Headshots
Headshots will be taken on Tuesday and Wednesday of the third week of each month at 3:00 p.m.
Rates
- $50 per person
- Departmental headshots up to 20 people can be requested on special basis.
